Phuket Butterfly Garden

Ton Sai waterfall and the national park Khao Phra

Khao Phra Taew Wildlife and Forest Reserve is on the mountain range on the northern end of Phuket and protects over 2000 hectares of virgin evergreen forest. The reserve is home to a couple of waterfalls, Ton Sai and Bang Pae.

Wat Chalong

This is Phuket's most important Buddhist temple. The temple is revered among Thais for its healing powers. The prayer hall contains the statues of Luang Por Chaem who has given Wat Chalong its fame as a place of healing.

Wat Phra Thong

This is the second most important temple on Phuket. Its fame is derived from a magic statue of the Buddha (Phra Tong means “golden Buddha”).

Phuket Aquarium

This aquarium, at the extreme end of Sakdidet Road, features wonderful displays of both saltwater and freshwater fish. It is here local experts also hatch and breed young sea turtles for release into the sea.
